Funding is available in the following areas of focus:

– Climate Change Resilience
– Biodiversity, Conservation and Ecological Production
– Market Innovation and Financial Health
– Community Education and Engagement
– Renewable Energy and Green Infrastructure

US SPRIGS – for current MESA Hosts and Stewards

Each season, MESA will pre-approve Host/Steward teams to collaborate/develop a project dependent on the site-specific needs of the Host, combined with the Steward’s training objectives. SPRIG projects should demonstrate creative and relevant techniques that benefit the Host site, and include appropriate agricultural techniques transferable to the Steward’s home community. SPRIGs are part of MESA’s mission to advance agroecology practices around the world.

Alumni SPRIGS – for MESA Alumni

MESA encourages you to develop a project that you can implement in your home country. This is an opportunity to apply and share your new skills with members of your community. A SPRIG must include sustainability and innovation, is designed by you, and should involve members of your own community. Your project must have a clear goal with proposed solutions to an identified problem.
