For over four years MESA and Ecology Action have joined forces to provide training and support services to Stewards from many countries. This year five amazing MESA-sponsored Stewards–four Kenyans and one Ecuadorian–successfully completed a six-month internship at Ecology Action’s mini-farm and its partner the Golden Rule Farm in Willits, CA. Each of the five Stewards was already a working member of an NGO or CBO in their home countries and their training in the GROW BIOINTENSIVE method with John Jeavons will soon be put to good use; training farmers in this innovative sustainable agriculture system. MESA encourages all of their program participants to develop Home Country Project proposals for funding consideration.  Look for the Ecology Action interns projects to begin appearing right here, on the MESA website, in the near future!
