Ecology Action is a non-profit research, development and education organization directed by John Jeavons, founder of the GROW BIOINTENSIVE™ Mini-Farming method. Ecology Action operates an 1100-square-meter research and demonstration mini-farm in Willits, California. The farm produces food and compost crops: vegetables, fruits, grains, perennials, and herbs. Ecology Action differs from most farms in that the focus is on research and training, with the objective of providing quality food and a sustainable soil fertility farming system for people all around the world. GROW BIOINTENSIVE™ is being used in at least 130 countries, in virtually all climates and soils across the globe where food is grown.
